Detailed Description
This class is designed to help learners connect the adjectives with their opposites and understand the positive and negative meaning of each word.
The class starts with a vocabulary focus section where learners are asked to answer questions as a group. The questions are designed to help learners understand the usage of adjectives and their meanings. In this section, learners will learn to describe people and use adjectives in their sentences.
After the vocabulary focus section, the learners will participate in two speaking activities. The first speaking activity is a game where learners will imagine different people and describe them without using the specific adjective. Then, they will ask their classmates which adjective they think fits the person. The second speaking activity involves saying something nice about their classmates. One student volunteers to go first and all the other students say what job they would be good at and write a compliment about the volunteer using adjectives from the list.
There is a final activity on the Teacher’s Insights where students can play charades. This is suggested for teachers who have extra time remaining.
