Detailed Description
In this beginner’s ESL class, we provide a comprehensive study guide on question words. The lesson starts with a brief introduction where students answer questions about themselves to help them ease into the English language. It then goes into detailed explanations of each question word, providing practical examples for better understanding. The pronunciation segment allows students to perfect their spoken English while practising the newly learnt question words.
Our ESL worksheet then continues onto a series of vocabulary exercises that reinforce learning through practice. First, students match the question words with their correct use, followed by filling in the blanks exercise. They then proceed to write their questions for given sentences. This exercise helps students construct their sentences effectively using question words.
Further reinforcing their learning, the students engage in a speaking and writing exercise where they create and answer questions in pairs. This exercise aims to promote conversational skills and ensure students can form questions correctly and respond to them as well.
As part of our ESL resources, we provide a printable PDF version of the worksheet, making it accessible for teachers who teach face-to-face or for remote / online learning students. This printable resource offers versatility and convenience, allowing teachers to integrate it into their curriculum seamlessly. It is also designed to be suitable for one-to-one and group lessons.
Finally, we include a creative exercise where students are encouraged to form questions based on visual prompts. This exercise enhances their descriptive and observational skills in English, which are crucial for their comprehensive development.
This ESL class is specifically designed to cater to ESL beginners who need a structured, step-by-step approach to learning. By using these resources, teachers can ensure their students get a well-rounded understanding of question words, an essential part of English grammar.
